The Aran jumper is an Irish icon. A world recognised symbol of the west of Ireland that has it's roots in small coastal islands and villages along the atlantic coast. Today there are many versions of the original available, but we wanted to design a jumper that was traditionally hand knit, that we could wear day to day and suit the way we live. We designed our pattern, shape and finish to feel great in and look great in. We work with very experienced knitters who bring their own magic to each and every jumper. The STABLE Aran is lighter than the traditional Aran, and made with merino wool. It is a looser more relaxed fit too, with a low or high neck collar.

The blackberry stitch found in the centre front and back panel denotes that this Aran is hand knit as this stitch can not be replicated on a machine. The Diamond Stitch is a traditional design symbolising fishing nets and was used as a symbol for wealth and success. The Cable Stitch reflects the 'intertwining strands of life'. Please note each jumper is carefully made to order by hand and takes 6-8 weeks. So worth the wait.
