Each of our willow baskets are handwoven with a selection of willows picked by our maker and friend Pauline. This open weave basket is made with Harrisons and Brittany Blue willow from the midlands and inspired by old Irish donkey creels that would have once been used to bring turf in from the bog. Highly respected weaver and friend of STABLE, Joe Hogan first developed it and calls it an ‘Irish twist’!
The basket straps are made from saddlery leather and fastened with brass. These are a beauty to hold, rare and precious. Gorgeous worn out and about or in the home.
