We are delighted to present our newest STABLE scarf collection made from 100% soft as a warm breeze Alpaca! A collaboration with our old and dear friends Breezy and Shane McGlynn of Simple Things we offer 3 different sizes in several rich colours to suit us all. Alpaca offers us a yarn that is more durable, hardwearing and pill-free. Finer fibres allow for greater density and heat retention as needs be. Easy to care for these new super soft scarves are a touch of cosy self-care lux to gift or to own! Simple Things based in co Kilkenny have been working with Alpaca for several years and consistently bring the very best quality to their production.
The Alpaca Throw is soft to touch and incredibly cosy, it looks elegant whether it’s draped over the sofa, the end of the bed or you! Can also be worn as an extra big scarf or a shawl – multi-tasking at its finest.
Size: 1.8 metres x 1.3 metres.
The natural fibre is widely considered warmer and silkier than most other herd animals and often compared to cashmere. Alpacas do not produce lanolin, unlike sheep’s wool, which means it’s hypoallergenic and good for anyone who is a little sensitive to other natural fibres. Not only this, it really has a minimal environmental impact in comparison too. They are only shorn once a year and require little processing to turn the fibre into a luxurious yarn. Their large hooves don’t pack down the soil and they graze lightly, not bothering trees. Altogether this makes alpaca wool one of the best examples of sustainable and eco-friendly wools out there, leaving few footprints on the planet.
Dry clean or hand wash in cold water with non-bio, dry flat, naturally.
