There's a breath of fresh air that comes with stepping from January to February. For us it means the arrival of spring, or Imbolc as it is known in the Gaelic Calendar, and the festival of St Brigid, a patron saint of Ireland. We love the Irish tradition of hanging a Brigid's Cross in the home to bring luck, happiness, and good things to those who live within. This year, our St Brigid's Crosses are handwoven using Irish willow by the lovely Pauline. Pauline is the maker of our fantastic Celtic Platters and Skibs, and we have lots more things planned to work with her on this year.
This month we're excited to introduce the new wonder cleansing accessory; Our STABLE Irish Linen Facecloth. As we continue to work with Irish Linen, we find ourselves pushing the boundaries of what we can use this hard-working and resilient fabric for. Our latest research has led us to discover that Irish linen works as an excellent skin cleansing cloth. We have been road testing various versions for over a year and are very happy with the one we have chosen. These cloths work as a gentle exfoliant on the skin while cleansing any make-up or day-to-day dirt from the skin. We are also delighted to collaborate with Modern Botany, pairing our facecloths with their excellent skincare products made in West Cork to provide the perfect at home cleansing experience.
We spent last week on the road, planning for the year ahead, visiting the many people that we work with to make STABLE what it is today. We returned feeling inspired and rejuvenated, excited for a year of creativity and collaborations. We look forward to bringing all these ideas to life over the coming months. In the meantime, get out and enjoy the extra light in the skies!
