Colour by Patrick Scott is the third addition to The STABLE Art Series following on from “Pub Wall” by Patrick Scott and “Flight” by Louis Le Brocquy. We created this scarf exactly 50 years on from when it was originally designed by Patrick Scott for Kilkenny Design Workshops in 1968.
Patrick Scott was made a director of KDW early in its existence. His love of craft and his commitment to high design standards made his input invaluable. Patrick also designed items for KDW, including an edition of tufted wool rugs called Rainbow Rugs and two silk scarves, of which this is one. We are delighted to be able to reintroduce this rare and beautiful work by Patrick Scott and have printed a small number of replica scarves to commemorate the exhibition.
